Report a Problem
General Information
As a community policing agency, the Reading Police Department prides itself on learning about, responding to, and resolving problems of law and order within the town. For purposes of this page, "problem" refers to a matter or situation of which you wish to make the appropriate police personnel aware for follow up response in the future. All emergencies should be reported by calling 911 and calls for service should be requested through the Dispatch Center at (781) 944-1212. Longer term, non-emergency problems or issues may be categorized or reported through the listings below. Please be mindful of the fact that the Attorney General has determined that government e-mail correspondence is a matter of public record. If you wish to report an anonymous tip, text the keyword READINGPD and your message to 847411 (tip411). These tips are untraceable and cleaned by a third-party vendor and are completely anonymous.
